Global Training Experience Mallorca
From hard to grasp to easy to follow: making the road to sustainable IT-impact crystal clear
IT decision-makers are sitting on a sustainability gold mine, but they often don’t know the great impact their work has on the environment. Renewable energy, carbon neutrality, smart data centers - Google Cloud asked us to simplify the global conversation around sustainable IT. Immersing ourselves in the world of IT decision-makers, we found out they prefer data, facts and figures. However, we also learned they are quite the competitive bunch and don’t back away from a challenge. “Sustainable IT, Decoded” was born, a masterclass that demystified sustainable IT myths, provided facts and tips, and set up a test environment in which participants could test their knowledge and receive access to an exclusive knowledge hub.
“The biggest challenge was keeping our audience engaged throughout the entire online experience. Quite the task, as IT decision-makers aren’t easily impressed. We dug deep and learned about their ways to develop a custom UX-flow and content formats that we knew would resonate well. The great UX-flow, clever copywriting and clean art direction based on Google Cloud’s new brand style marked this project as a “best of” example by Google’s global brand team.”

Global teamwork makes the dream work
We went around the globe for this project! Well, virtually. The Sustainable IT Decoded project was truly a global effort with MediaMonks in San Francisco, the Google Cloud team across Europe and locally operating video crews in Spain and the US. All in neat orchestration by the creative OVAL team in Amsterdam. All without having to take a single flight. Now that’s sustainable right?
